VIC rooms to rent or hire

The VIC Centre has a number of rooms available to rent or hire, all the rooms in the Centre have been named after operations and deployments since WW2.
Our Centre's normal opening times are Monday - Friday from 0900 - 1700. However the centre can be opened outside of the normal hours for community groups and those who wish to rent any of the rooms.
Refreshments can be made available at very reasonable prices and catering can be arranged, The Kitchen (GALLEY) area can also be used.

CORPORATE

Operation Corporate was the name given to the British military operation in 1982 to retake the Falkland Islands.

​This room has multi functions, it can be be used as a conference room, meeting room or for training courses. The room and furniture can be changed around to suit all the different requirements that a group or organisation may need.
There is a smart board and projector available, whiteboards and WIFI available
The hourly, day and regular booking rates for rental are very competitive

BANNER

Operation Banner, the name given to the army's support role for the police during the Troubles, lasted for 38 years (1969-2007 . It was the longest continuous campaign in the history of the British Army.

​This room has been set up as an arts and craft room, the room can accommodate up  the 16 people at any one time.
This room is currently used every Friday by the VIC art group.
This room will be available for other groups during the other days of the week.
VIC will deliver classes in arts and crafts to other groups in the community by VIC members.
This room can also be made available as a breakout room for groups using the Corporate Room

THE HIDE

This room has been designed to be a relaxed and non-threatening room for those using the room
It's primary use is the VIC members to sit and talk, read a book from our library, watch a DVD or Video, watch TV, and playing the Wii that was donated to us.
It can be also be available to community and veterans groups to hold meetings.

Barras - Currently being used for the VIC sublimation and Internet sales

Operation Barras was a British Army operation that took place in Sierra Leone on 10 September 2000, during the late stages of that nation's civil war.

This room is situated on the first floor and has now become available for long or short term rental.

GRANBY

Operation Granby was the name given to the British military operations in the Persian Gulf from 1990 to 1991, that were precipitated by the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in August 1990.
This room is currently set-up as a therapy room, The room is a good size for therapy and facing the front of the building.
This room is already being used by some of our partner organisations during the week for some of their one-to-one sessions; The Military Veterans Service (MVS), Combat Stress, and Citizens Advice.
The rates for hourly rental is very competitive.

GRAPPLE - This room is currently booked out on a long term lease

Operation Grapple was the codeword used to cover UK defence operations in support of the UN peacekeeping missions in the former Yugoslavia (1992-1995).
