This outreach Veterans services was launched during Armed Forces Week of 2021. Due to circumstances beyond our control we had to re-locate this outreach to the Trinity Methodist Church Community Hub at the start of October.

The facilities at this venue will allow us to grow this outreach as it has it's own kitchen and in the future we may be able to offer bacon or sausage butties or even soup and a roll for those attending.

Veterans In Communities (VIC) works across East Lancashire to support those who have served in any of the branches of the Armed Forces, Emergency Services and their families.

We offer a range of activities which are run by veterans or retired members of the emergency services. The range of activities include;
  • Walking and outdoor activities.
  • Social Inclusion trips.
  • Helping the local community with small projects.
  • Training opportunities,
  • Veterans Outreach and Information Services..  .

Our Peer Support activities and projects are being delivered by veterans for veterans. Our community projects, outdoor activities and outreach services
 have been designed and developed by VIC members who understand the needs of veterans.  Although many of our members have served in the Armed Forces or Emergency Services or have an association with the Armed Forces through family, VIC is not exclusive to veterans, and many of our Peer Support activities include those who haven't served. Our members are an integral element of VIC.

 'The RV Veterans Breakfast Hub' was the first veterans drop-in launched in the Ribble Valley at the start of 2020 at the Ebenezer's Coffee Shop in Billington. Unfortunately just as we launched the UK went into Lockdown due to the COVID19 pandemic.  During the lockdowns we had the opportunity to relocate the RV Veterans Breakfast Club to a more centralised location in Clitheroe.
